Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner, harsh chemicals or soak your jewelry for prolonged periods (ie swimming or dish washing).

Gently clean occasionally with a mild dish detergent; rinse and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Letting water dry on your jewelry leaves behind calcium deposits.

Do not subject your jewelry to physical shock (ie sporting activities), extremely hot temperature, or prolonged exposure to intense, direct sun (ie sunbathing). Many natural gemstones and minerals are permanently damaged by these conditions, and can fade or crack.

Do not allow anyone to polish your jewelry on a buffing wheel. My jewelry’s surfaces are specially textured to achieve their appearance and can be altered by harsh polishing. The gentle cleaning outlined above is all that’s required. Should you damage the finish or need a piece resized, contact me for instructions to return it for repair for a nominal fee. The aluminum surfaces will not tarnish like silver, and the nickel and brass surfaces may be cleaned with a metal cleaner like Simichrome®. Always use cleaners safe for aluminum and avoid contacting any mineral or gemstone with anything other than gentle detergent.

The safest way to store all jewelry is free of contact with other jewelry. With proper care you will have a lifetime of enjoyment of this one-of-a-kind piece.

Primarily aluminum, brass and nickel silver (an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc) are employed in my designs, but sometimes steel, sterling silver, resins and plastic are utilized as components. Some painted or plated materials as well as glass are occasionally used. Natural minerals are often featured as a central design element. Gemstones are normally natural but can be synthetic when durability and impact resistance are important. The exact materials, dimensions and weight of each piece are available on request.
